Workplace Safety Grants

Workplace Safety Grant recipients include employers and organizations in high-hazard industries such as construction, manufacturing and public safety.  Many projects that have received funding in the past have assisted employers and organizations to amplify their efforts to keep employees in Utah safe on the job.

Every year, the Utah Labor Commission accepts applications for grant projects or initiatives demonstrating a commitment to Workplace Safety. Some of the proposals may include, but are not limited to:

Workplace Safety Poster Contest

Every year, the Utah Labor Commission engages in a creative and fun state-wide campaign to engage and educate all public and private Middle and Junior High School students about workplace safety through our yearly safety poster contest.

The poster contest is designed to help build awareness about workplace safety and health issues by the “Take Safety Seriously” slogan.

An employer must report an accident within eight hours of it’s occurrence. See Utah Admin. Code Rule R614-1-5)(B)(1).
