2024 Nonfatal Workplace Injury and Illness Statistics

The Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses (SOII) is a cooperative program between the Utah Labor

Commission’s Occupational Safety and Health Bureau of Labor Statistics (UOSH BLS) and the

U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The SOII was administered by UOSH BLS. The 2022 version of the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) was used to group company data by industry.

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2024 RESULTS

The overall incidence rate for nonfatal workplace injuries and illnesses in the private sector and state and local government employers within the state of Utah during 2024 was 2.6 per 100 full-time workers. The incidence rate for 2023 was 2.5 per 100 full-time workers.

Private Sector
